Born in January 2010 as the technological spin-off of the autostrade//per l’Italia Group, Autostrade//Tech inherits the excellence on R&D and System Integration, that have been, for over 50 years, the heart of the infrastructural evolution of one of the largest tolled motorway networks in Europe.
The Group’s history has many important milestones, such as the creation, in 1990, of the first worldwide large-scale system for dynamic toll payment, Telepass, that nowadays counts more than 7 millions of users, nearly half of the circulating OBUs Europewide.
The technological excellence in the motorway sector goes along with a worldwide solid presence in the provision and management of systems for urban-, logistic- and parking-areas charging, control and monitoring.
